The Stewardship and Finance committee consists of 3 ruling elders (one of whom is chairperson), 1 -2 members at large and the receiving/disbursing treasurer.
Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday. The committee
reviews the monthly financial statements and submits them, along with any recommendations, to the Session for approval.
The committee prepares the annual budget for the upcoming year based on the activities and expenditures of the various committees within the church
and historical giving information from the current and previous years. During our Fall
Stewardship campaign, pledging by our members is encouraged so that budgetary obligations may be met, but it is not required. Ever grateful for God’s bountifulness to us, we are mindful of our talents as well as our resources that may be used for His work at Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
Our giving opportunities include:
Operating Fund: all non-restricted offerings support the general and administrative expenses of the church, local missions and benevolences, outreach through Presbytery of the CC
Building Fund: we have currently completed nearly 70% of a 5-year building campaign for a new sanctuary and educational wing
