The Mission and Benevolence Committee is a committee of the Session of Shallotte Presbyterian Church which performs the following functions:

2. Acting as a liaison for our church with the Communities in Schools program of the Brunswick County Board of Education, in which we have adopted and support the local Union Primary School when called upon to assist with its projects and needs;

3. Publicizing special offerings of our denomination, such as the One Great Hour of Sharing, Two-Cents-A-Meal, Souper Bowl, Pentecost and Peacemaking offerings; and,

4. Reviewing and recommending to Session special mission projects of the church and community not otherwise already adopted and supported by other organizations within the church, such as Presbyterian Women and Presbyterian Men.
